Steven J Gruver, Lead Pastor
Steven Gruver has been a Full Elder in the Western Pa United Methodist Church since 1993. He has a BA in Bible and History from Asbury College and he completed his Masters of Divinity at Asbury Seminary. He is married to his awesome wife, Elizabeth, and he loves spending every spare moment of every day with her! He is a (hack) musician, owns too many guitars, enjoys motorcycling around the country with Elizabeth , playing golf when he can, and spending time at the beach with Elizabeth and their family. He and Elizabeth have 5 adult children and 6 grandchildren who call them Pop-Pop & GiGi. Steve & Elizabeth long to see people’s lives touched and transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. Life is a highway – following Jesus is the Adventure!
Bridget Stiver, Office Manager
Bridget is new to Punxsy First but not new to church settings. She has served alongside her husband, Greg, a recently retired UMC pastor, for several appointments over many wonderful years. She is a certified lay minister, serves on our district’s committee on ministry and is a gifted speaker and teacher. She brings years of knowledge, wisdom and experience to her latest role serving Punxsy First. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, grandkids, and dogs. Her favorite verse is 2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. We are blessed to have her as part of our team!
